raw materials for masks
MEDI-LAABS German SUPPLIER OF MELT-BLOWN NON-WOVEN FABRICS, WIRES AND ELASTIC bands FOR PRODUCTION OF MASKS ON AUTOMATIC WELDING MACHINES
Medical masks cONSIST OF:
- 3-4 Layers of nonwovens combined together
- External layers are made out of non-woven PP Spunbond fabric, weight 25-30 g/m2
- Inner layer consists of Melt Blown filter 1-2 layers
In addition, the production of masks requires elastic bands and wires for a nose clip, which will ensure good adhesion of the mask to the face. There are numerous types of nonwovens, elastics and wires available on the market. However, many of them are not suitable for production of masks on ultrasonic welding machines.
Medi-Laabs is currently the only supplier on the market that offers: machines for masks, non-wovens for masks, wires and elastics. We supply the most carefully chosen raw materials for the production of masks. In addition, we help our customers with ongoing quality control of finished masks.
Our laboratory provides testing services for masks and raw materials for masks.
Medi-Laabs Melt Blown filter fabric meets the highest European standards in terms of bacterial and particle filtration.
Bacterial filtration at the level of 99,41% has been confirmed by an independent accredited laboratory from Germany.
In order to ensure the constant highest quality of the offered nonwovens, Medi-Laabs continuously monitors the quality of each batch of the Melt Blown fabric produced. Our laboratory implements the ISO 17025 system.
ISO 17025 - a standard of quality management system developed in 1999 (first edition) in order to unify technical and quality management requirements for testing laboratories.

OEKO TEX CERTIFICATE FOR MELT BLOWN
In 2020 we obtained the OEKO TEX certificate for Melt Blown nonwovens produced in Medi-Laabs.
Oeko-Tex standard 100 is a certificate which proves the quality of textile and textile products that come into direct contact with human skin. Oeko-Tex certifies products on which tests have been carried out to verify the presence of the 100 most dangerous substances that endanger consumers.
Thanks to tests carried out in laboratories all over the world, certified products are free from harmful agents that adversely affect human health (e.g. formaldehyde, pesticides or substances that may cause allergies). Factors such as foreign smells and resistance to sweat and saliva are also assessed.
